Yelagiri Hills (perfect weekend getaway)
Yelagiri Hills is a perfect getaway from the hustle,bustle and madness of the city
Calm place to relax on a weekend :)
Reaching there is easy... its around 150 km from Bangalore to drive... We chose to go by train till Jolarpet by the Bangalore-Jolarpettai Express...
From there we hired a qualis to ride us till the resort. The drive from the station is beautiful and scenic, winding roads takes you to the top!!!
After the lunch at Zeenat Taj Resort where we had booked our stay..
Our first place of visit was the LAKE which is a 15mins walk from the resort.
The sunset was a breathtaking view and a walk around the lake gives a glimse of best of nature.
Boating is also an attraction there. You can opt for pedal or row boating :)
The resort in itself is a beautiful place to be... The resort has beautiful gardens and ducks walking around. We tried photography in and around the resort.
The next morning we all woke up early for the trek.It was a 1km long trek which opens up to a beautiful valley. Early morning is the best time to trek as the view is awesome with all the clouds around :) After spending a lot of time experiencing the beauty of the valleys we headed down where our breakfast was waiting ;)
We had a great time playing Cricket, Baddy , TT and of course the swing in the park which reminds us of all the childhood stories ;)
