Magical beauty around :)

Madalpatti, A beautiful scenic place away from everything. Madalpatti is 35 - 40 Kms from Madikeri Coorg. We started from my native which is Somwarpet. Its around 30Kms from Somwarpet and you get a deviation to Mandalpatti.From there is around 16Kms to Madalpetti. So totally 46Kms to Mandalpatti. The road is good till the deviation. After that its a little bad in patches. But you will forget that when you see the beauty of the place :) There is a forest office where you need to buy a ticket to go up till the view point.. The view is breathtaking from there...  Well we left the place by 2 and on the way back we had lunch at a riverside that we got from home.. There is no other place to eat there, So need to pack food from home... The next day we also visited Harangi dam which is 15kms from Somwarpetr PICTURE GALLERIA!!!!!                At Harangi dam.....          

Day trip to Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary and around from Bangalore :) Ranganathittu is 120Kms from Bangalore close to Srirangapatna. We started early in the morning as its best to be there early. We had a break at Kamat as usual for breakfast. But as we were really early we did not have much of a choice for breakfast ;) We reached Ranganathittu at 8:30. Well the place opens by 8 in morning. We could hire a boat there and he will take us around in a row boat explaining us all about the birds.The boat ride is of 30 - 40 mins.There is small island sort of in the middle of the lake where we can view the birds. Most common migratory birds include painted storks, open billed storks, white ibis, darters, spoonbills and night herons. winter is the best time to visit when it is full of migratory birds.
